Hello Traders,
Apologies for the publishing. Was a bit tied up this weekend so I’m a bit behind schedule. Strong finish on the indexes this past week. The S&P 500 touched new all-time-highs last week which is wild considering how bleek things may have looked just a couple weeks ago. The US dollar index (DXY) has rolled over this past week. This is something I’ve discussed several times over the past weeks and was a chart I wanted to pay close attention too. This pull-back in the US dollar has once again acted as a positive backdrop for risk assets.
INDEXES
SPY | +1.74% |
QQQ | +1.51% |
IWM | +1.43% |
DIA | +2.16% |
As I am writing this newsletter, the futures markets have just opened and the major indexes are experiencing a bit of pressure. Not surprising to say the least, given the robust moves we had to the upside. Some type of consolidation is completely normal and healthy. Where we finish next week will ultimately be what matters most. We have an FOMC meeting this week, and plenty of political headlines being tossed around to keep everyone on there toes. Should be another interesting week as always.

Let’s get into this weeks charts!
Breakouts List
I’ve decided to break the watchlist into a breakout list and a developing list. The breakout list will be made up of charts which are right at breakout points, or are already breaking out over resistance zones. The developing list below, will contain charts that are either still consolidating or pulling back, but have positive technical characteristics which I believe could start to firm up and move high in the near term.
Developing Chart List
These charts are all still consolidating or pulling back after have tested long standing resistance levels. I am watching all of these closely for signs that price wants to start curling higher in anticipation that price will test those former resistance levels again and even offer new breakouts.
